The pousadas in Portugal have extraordinary bed-chambers. The pousadas are historical accommodations, former castles or palaces or monasteries. The establishments kept their charme from the outside as almost each of them is under a preservation order. The inside has been modernized moderately and comfortably. Nowadays guests can enjoy the historic atmosphere and the amenities of a 4 to 5-start hotel.
